Well, by golly sometimes those little studies help a lot. Trail's End (posted several days ago) is a 3x4.75" color study to help me figure out how I wanted to finish this painting that I had begun, well, a while ago. This painting, "The Way Home" is 12"x16" of a very beautiful bend in the trail at Bluff Point. When the sunlight comes streaming through the trees, it backlights some and illuminates others. The warm light is so inviting.
