Well, my backpack with my little painting inside got delivered to me this morning by Southwest Air...everything just fine for all the adventure the poor little bag went through! The paint is still mostly wet (as you can tell by the reflective places in the photo) but, luckily made it through unscathed! This little 6"x8" painting is of a woman I know who is a master gardener back in Virginia Beach. She could grow things that just weren't supposed to survive, let alone thrive in the hot climate down there. She babied things along and made life perfect for them in her backyard - lupines, hollyhocks, delphinium, sweet peas, fragrant roses, and walls of peonies surrounding most of her back yard! Melissa is a brilliant artist! Her palette is petals, and the earth is her canvas.
