Savannah Splendor - sold

6"x8" oil on Belgian linen mounted on board

Today we stopped in Savannah on the way home from Tallahassee. It's a great place to stay & break up a long drive home. I've been coming to this city since I was a kid in Girl Scouts. This beautiful fountain is in Forsyth Park. It's a nice long walk from the river end of town where we are staying, to come approach the fountain....a row of huge trees greets you with nice inviting shade and tons of Spanish moss dripping from the trees. Just another cool place to be when you want to spend time outdoors, but it's as hot as.....well, you get the idea (the southeast is roasting).

Very nice light in your "southern" pieces! I recently traveled these parts and, yep, it looks like that!
...and thanks for your nice comment about my work, Roxanne
