Down To Earth Sinks The Sun
11"x14" oil on linen mounted on archival board, currently unframed
Ah, the brilliant light show at the end of some days, the last rays of light transforming the surface of land into a rich velvet blanket of deep color...until total darkness sets in. There's something calming, and very satisfying seeing that transition of dusk. This is a place I pass by on the Eastern Shore of Virginia, on my way down to Norfolk (from last October).

This is SO beautiful Roxanne! It took my breath away when I saw it on Facebook!
Thanks Norma! I've been trying to scout out more skies like this! I watch the clock & the weather in hopes of painting more big dramatic skies!
