"She walks among the loveliness she made,
Between the apple-blossom and the water-
She walks among the patterned pied brocade,
Each flower her son, and every tree her daughter."
-Vita Sackville-West (from the poem, The Island)

I'm hoping this fabulous weather stays around for a while. I am really enjoying being back outside in the sunshine to paint. Hope your Spring time is off to a great start, too!

Sunshine Preserves - Sold!

8"x8" oil on gessoed masonite artboard

"Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine." - Anthony J. D'Angelo

Bring your own sunshine...hmm. The thought of canning it up into nice little jars, so you can open the lid and have sunshine any dark day of winter is quite appealing. Of course that's not what the quote intends, we must carry it inside us and then share it - to spread the sunshine! I think I'll be carrying this visual of a little jar of preserves of sunshine, just the thought of it makes me smile all winter long. "Sunshine Preserves" is an 8"x8" oil on gessoed masonite archival artboard. For more information about this painting, including pricing, framing, etc. contact me at this link.
