Crescent Moon On the Cove-sold

Tonight is blustery and inky black outside. But just a few weeks ago, my neighbor called to see if I had noticed the moon that evening, rising up over the cove to the south of us, and shimmering across the water in the cold night. The moonlight was such a contrast to the velvet darkness of sky. This would be a nice bedroom painting, to stare at, as if through a window, looking across that cove at the shimmer of a rising moon...so relaxing.
