Pink Two Lips

8"x8" oil on gessoed masonite artboard

"Kissing is a means of getting two people so close together that they can't see anything wrong with each other."
- Rene Yasenek

"Pink Two Lips" is an 8"x8" oil on gessoed masonite artboard, a perfect gift for Valentine's Day. This painting started with the simple intention of staying with a red/green palette of color, then a play-on-words for the title. And what else would you need with your pearls and lipstick, but two lips?

*****Upcoming shows - Here in CT: I'll be taking part in the Mystic Art Center's Members Exhibition which opens today, Friday, January 14th, 5:30-7:30pm. Hope to see you there.
ALSO - I'm taking part in the 19th Annual Associate Artist Exhibition at the Lyme Art Association. Show dates are: January 14th-February 26, 2011. Opening Reception is Friday, January 21st from 5-7pm.

Your palette knife paintings are so full of energy... just as a palette knife painting should be.
