10"x8" oil on gallery wrapped canvas (edges are painted)
It has been raining for a long while now...and chilly for days on end. I'm told it's Spring...and of course this is normal for New England.
I'm holding a memory of last summer, of every summer, when sweet peas bloom, fragrant and delicate. The warmth of the sun lifts this sweetness all around you. You can't escape it!
"The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it," observed Oscar Wilde. I think he's got something there! Be good to yourself, friend!

This is gorgeous, Roxanne - so much beautiful work on your site!
Thanks so much Connie! You made my day! :-)
So bold, your colors Roxanne. Hopefully, you'll see 'em outside soon too!! Seems like the wait for summer is extra long this year. Happy painting to you, always!
Thanks Diane! It HAS been a long wait for decent weather! whew! I think I'm finally over a head cold, the weather is warming up, the gale winds have died down (somewhat), and it's time to go paint outside! Was in a good meeting today, other wise I'd have been out there today! Hoping the weather holds tomorrow & I'll be heading back out to the marsh. And...gardens- our tulips are almost opened!!! I can hardly wait!!! :-)
